Blackhawks recall Bickell from Rockford

The Blackhawks, who take on the San Jose Sharks tonight at the United Center, recalled left wing Bryan Bickell from Rockford of the American Hockey League.

Bickell, 23, has played in two games with the Hawks this season and has been held scoreless.

The Hawks were down a player on the roster since center Dave Bolland had surgery on his back earlier this week.

Tonight marks the end of the Hawks' four-game homestand. They won the first three games to extend their home winning streak to six. A victory over the Westen Conference-leading Sharks would give the Hawks momentum as they head out on the six-game Circus Trip beginning Thursday night in Calgary.

Break out your old No. 27 Hawks sweaters as the team will honor former player Jeremy Roenick as part of the Heritage Night series. Roenick will drop the ceremonial first puck.
