Bears' Turner worried about Vikings, not Martz

Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner and quarterback Jay Cutler are not concerned with any speculation regarding a new offensive coordinator.

The Chicago-Sun Times cited an unnamed source saying that former head coach Mike Martz would be interested in working with Cutler in Chicago. Martz worked with Bears coach Lovie Smith in St. Louis.

"Somebody just told me about that," Turner said. "All I'm focusing on is Minnesota. The only thing I'm focused on is the Chicago Bears and Minnesota. All I've talked about is how we're going to attack (the Vikings') defense.''

It's interesting to hear Martz's name, considering he criticized Cutler's play earlier this season.

"There's not much you can do about (speculation),'' Cutler said following today's practice. "We're struggling offensively so I'm going to catch some blame. And everyone else will. That's how it goes.

"I don't have any thoughts on it. I'm not going to entertain any thoughts on it. We can't be distracted by it. We've got to worry about what's going on in our building.''
