Bears' offense struggling

By Rick Morrissey

Watching the Bears' offense struggle in the first half was like watching paint dry, and I realize that's an injustice to drying paint everywhere. Matt Forte struggled early running the ball, partly because there was nowhere to run. And Jay Cutler had trouble passing the ball. What was different this time is that I heard him get booed at least three different times.

That's the first time in the short Cutler era that he has gotten that kind of reception. He managed to get back in the crowd's good graces with a 10-play, 71-yard drive before halftime, but still. Can you imagine what the half would have looked like if the Bears had been playing, say, Minnesota?

The best thing they had going for them was, as expected, the woeful Browns. Derek Anderson was so bad that it makes you wonder how bad Brady Quinn must be to serve as his backup. If the Bears want people to forget last week's debacle in Cincinnati, they had better pick it up in the second half.

Yeah stupid Bear fans! Don't boo the man that throws nothing but Int's. We realy should be cheering him on right? If Orton w0ould have thrown this many Int's in the first half of a season, they would have lynched him. Cutler couldn't complete a pass to the right color jersy if he passed in a bathroom.

Shows how stupid Bears fans are. Always blame the quarterback.

They weren't booing Cutler, they were booing Ron Turner.
