NBC wasn't the only national media outlet shut out from sitting down with Jay Cutler last week.

Sports Illustrated came to Chicago with hopes of getting a one-on-one interview with Cutler, but the Bears quarterback was off-limits outside of his Wednesday news conference.

Bears coach Lovie Smith said he wanted his players to focus on the game, and the Bears pointed out that Cutler was made available to NBC in previous games this season. NBC personality Bob Costas was not allowed to sit down with Cutler before Sunday's game.
