Bears Game Day: Clark, Payne out with injuries

By Vaughn McClure

Newly promoted running back Kahlil Bell is active for tonight's Bears game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Soldier Field, while tight end Desmond Clark (neck) and safety Kevin Payne (back) are out with injuries.

Bell was moved up from the Bears' practice squad to replace Garrett Wolfe, who was placed on injured reserve and is out for the season because of  a lacerated kidney.

Clark and Payne are joined on the inactive list by receiver Juaquin Iglesias, offensive lineman Lance Louis, defensive lineman Matt Toeaina, cornerback D.J. Moore, and defensive lineman Jarron Gilbert.

For the Eagles, cornerback Sheldon Brown is active despite being questionable coming off a hamstring injury. Bears quarterback Jay Cutler might want to put Brown to the test against the likes of Earl Bennett or Johnny Knox.

"It's a trade that will likely work out, but it's still a speculative trade, which is not what a taxpayer should want from firms that have only recently come out of critical care," Rosner said.
