On Sunday they blew a 17-10 halftime lead to the Titans, who previously had only one victory. The 49ers surrendered 34 points in the loss. What's more, they have lost four in a row and five of their last six after winning their first two.
San Francisco head coach Mike Singletary is sure to have his team fired up to play the Bears, however. Singletary's Bear roots have been on display frequently this season.

I hope the 49's kick the Bears butts. More they lose the sooner we might get rid of Smith. I can't believe the Bears think Smith is a head coach. He is more of a Sunday school teacher and not a very good one at that. He is supposed to be a defensive specialist and he has really done a good job thus far, hasn't he? In order for the Bears to improve they have to redo the organization top to bottom. One head coach won't do a thing when you still have Phillips and Angelo calling the shots. Also, you morons calling Cutler a loser and cancer on team, he is the only thing that is keeping this team above water. If you had any brains you would see that. Go 49's !!!!!!!
Chicago is not a city of quiters but the Bears seem not to get the message. If the team winds up 8-8 this season it will be a miracle more likely 7-9 or 6-10. Not too mention they had an easy schedule this year.
Such poor team performance rests with the head coach. He should fire the defensive coach immediatley and if he suffers two more embarrassing blow outs he should be out as well. The city and its fans deserve better.
Which coach would you rather NOT face after loosing? Samurai Mike or the very well named Lovie? If I were a 49er, the thought of facing Mike if they loose to the Bears should be all the motivation that I need to go out there and annihilate them. Whereas the Bears, if they loose to the Niners, as they fly home, Lovie will be patting their heads and saying that they need to do a little better next week. I would love to see Samurai on the Bears sidelines, kicking Harris's butt for a field goal, but the chances of that do not even approach nil.
When a team mentally and physically shows no signs of life, the head coach has to be accountable. I have not missed a game in nearly 20 years. I can't remember a team that has been outworked in every phase of the game. We have many positions that need to be fixed and no true leadership on the team. It is just so difficult to watch games as of late. I find myself rooting for the other team because I feel that is the quickest way for this coaching staff to be replaced. But then I realize the Mccaskeys dont truely care and will settle for mediocre coaching due to the financial obligations. Its just a mess.
