White Sox adviser may bid for Rangers

Dennis Gilbert, a former agent who's a special adviser to the White Sox, is part of group that met with Rangers offiicals Wednesday about buying the team from Tom Hicks, the Associated Press reported.

Gilbert's group is the third to be interested in the Rangers after Pittsburgh attorney Chuck Greenberg and Houston businessman Jim Crane.
