NEW YORK -- After a rainy morning and afternoon, skies cleared over Yankee Stadium at about 4 p.m. EDT. That and a forecast that calls for only a 10-percent chance of rain at 8 p.m, shortly after the first pitch from CC Sabathia, allowed the grounds crew to take the tarp off the field and get it ready for batting practice.
Tomorrow's forecast in New York is for mostly clear skies and the outlook is even better in Philadelphia. The forecast for Game 3 on Saturday is mostly clear skies, with a high of 68 degrees and a low of 51 -- almost baseball weather! There is a 40-percent chance of rain listed for Sunday but that wave of precipitation should come and go quickly, with a nice forecast for Monday's Game 5, if necessary.
