Blackhawks-Wild first-period report

The Blackhawks held a 2-0 lead over the Minnesota Wild after one period at the United Center on Monday night.

The Hawks, playing without captain Jonathan Toews and defenseman Brent Seabrook who missed their second consecutive games with concussions, got goals from Dave Bolland and Troy Brouwer.

Goaltender Cristobal Huet stopped all 10 Minnesota shots while counterpart Niklas Backstrom allowed the two goals on 10 Hawks shots.
