CINCINNATI -- The offensive combination of Cedric Benson, Chad Ochocinco and Carson Palmer shredded the Bears defense as the Cincinnati Bengals registered a surprisingly easy 45-10 victory Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium.
For photos, polls and more commentary, click here.
Benson, a 2005 Bears first-round draft pick, rushed for a career-high 189 yards and a touchdown. Ochocinco caught 10 passes for 118 yards and 2 touchdowns. Palmer completed 20 of 24 passes for 233 yards and five touchdowns before resting the second half of the fourth quarter.

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler threw three interceptions and the Bears turned the ball over four times as they fell to 3-3 with the loss.
The Bengals (5-2) disarmed the Bears on the opening drive, which ended with a 9-yard pass from Palmer to Chris Henry. Cincinnati marched 77 yards in eight plays for the score.
Another eight-play, 80-yard drive was capped by an 8-yard TD pass from Palmer to Ochocinco. Shayne Graham converted and the Bengals led 14-0 with 1:07 left in the first period. Benson ran for 70 yards in the first quarter alone on just eight carries.
The Bengals offense continued to exploit the Bears' defense early in the second period. This time it was a seven-play, 63-yard drive that ended with a 3-yard pass to tight end J.P. Foschi.
Cincinnati scored on its fourth straight possession when Palmer passed 8 yards to Laveranues Coles for a TD with 2:49 left until halftime and a 28-0 lead. Cutler had his pass intended for Earl Bennett tipped by safety Chris Crocker and intercepted by Leon Hall, who returned the pick 22 yards to the Bears' 17. The Bengals converted the turnover into a 29-yard field goal by Graham and a 31-0 lead.
The Bears avoided a first-half shutout when Robbie Gould kicked a 22-yard field goal on the last play before intermission.
Benson had 98 yards rushing by halftime.
The beating continued in the third period when Palmer passed to Ochocinco for a 13-yard touchdown. As promised before the game, Ochocinco performed a Samba dance in the end zone to celebrate and the Bengals led 38-3.
Benson added a touchdown with 14:57 left in the game from a yard out to make it 45-3.
The Bears scored a touchdown with 11:48 remaining on a 5-yard pass from Cutler to Devin Hester to make it 45-10 after an eight-play, 60-yard drive.

You have a interesting posting. I loved reading it very much. Thanks keep up the great work.
great post , really good view on the subject and very well written, this certainly has put a spin on my day, many thanks from the USA and sustain up the good work
I enjoyed reading it. I need to read more on this topic..Thanks for sharing a nice info..Any way I am going to subscribe to your feed and I hope you post again soon.
Maybe we can extend Jay's contract for another 5 years.
I for one was never bitter about the trade. But having your QB act like a child in the offseason and then demand to not want to play with the greatest franchise in history. Of course I want him to fail miserably. Bronco fans have made excuses for Cutler the last 3 years. There comes a time when you have to realize that he is just a mediocre QB at best. Stop making excuses, seems like this guy could do no wrong. Down by 7, go drive your team down and tie the score so it doesn't get out of hand!
Sometimes it's just good to be a Packers fan. Actually it isn't just good to be a Packers fan sometimes, it's pretty much good to be a Packers fan all the time. BEARS STINK, the sooner you realize that the quicker you can move on with your life.
Sad Bear-
Thanks man. I'm sure I'll get roasted by some- and that's to be expected after a brutal loss. That said- just b/c Jay Cutler may not be a franchise quarterback just yet- that doesn't mean he won't get there. He just needs someone who isn't so smitten with his physical gifts to challenge him to be smarter with the football- or at the very least a coach (e.g. Shanahan) who he respects that he'll listen to. At any rate- Bronco and Bear fans would be well advised to remember that this trade wasn't about JUST the 2009 season. Bears have Cutler and the OPPORTUNITY to develop him into a franchise QB over the next SEVERAL seasons. Positively, with all his gifts- it's scary to thing how good he still COULD be some day. He needs the right coaching and mentoring and a nice slice of humble pie to get there though. I AM rooting for him...
BTW- for the record- Cutler is no locker room cancer. Cocky and sure of himself? Yes. But I have it on fairly reliable information that he was well liked in the Denver and Vanderbilt clubhouses. I'm sure it's the same in Chicago. That really should be a non-issue in this whole thing IMHO... Just another reason why this isn't Jeff George II....
Griff, don't give up on the human race because of these message boards. There have always been a few sick people amongst us. It is just now they can troll message boards and make it seem like their numbers are higher. I actually have friends who are Cardinal and Packer fans :)
No surprises here. Ugly taunts and hate filled insults. I actually would have figured losing the game 45-10 would have been insult enough. Not anymore. that's why my wife refuses to go see a game at soldier field. I guess I can't blame her. We can't afford $100-200 a seat just to listen to a belligerent, foul mouthed, threatening drunk who's there to see the opposing team. Our last two times out that's exactly what we got.
To those of you who are on here gloating over the Chicago fans misery: Bad form. Where's your sense of sportsmanship. To those who are being abused: Remember, we've been here before. We'll be here again. So will the teams of the people who are ridiculing you. there was a time in this country when sports rivalries were friendly. Now they're infused with real hatred. What are we becoming?
Are we disappointed? Yes. Are we surprised? Well after the Atlanta game last week, not really. Conclusion: When you forgo size and physical strength on your offensive and defensive lines in favor of speed and quickness, you're probably gonna get overpowered and manhandled when you come up against teams that have size and strength.
So to all the abusers, GOD bless you, you won. One of these days our team will win again too. Until that time, I'm going to keep rooting for them, and I'll pray for all of you.
I want to be the first to congratulate Mr. Obama on being awarded the Lombardi Trophy for watching today's game! He is on a role and I also understand he's in the running for this year's Heisman Trophy as well!
Kudos
Sox2010:
You're probably right. No sense wasting time here with cretins like yourself.
Thanks for the tip!
Vanderbilt_Bronco:
You are casting pearls here with a post that good.
Excellent, truthful,
and they'll ignore and rationalize and come up with lame excuses why you're wrong
(which you're not)
Good post dude
I'm a very bitter Broncos fan. I am getting great joy in watching Jay fail no matter who you blame. He was surrounded by pro bowlers on offense in Denver and still couldn't get the job done. Our defense was horrible in every way, but they weren't the ones throwing INT's in the endzone after a long drive. Jay Cutler = padded stats and a screwup when it counts. I almost feel sorry for the Bears fans, but not the crap that came out of their mouth after the trade on how Denver fans are stupid and the way your blind to his screwups.
Ha..
Jimmy
Sox2010 said it all....
Only thing I would add is that today's game was as much an indictment of the coaching staff and Angelo's personnel philosophies as much as the players' lack of talent and heart.
A sad day for the Bears and counting! As grim as it may have looked I think its obvious that this game had it's purpose. It exposed the truth of all their weaknesses and that is always a good thing because the owners and coaches need to see how bad things really are. They are leading this time blindly and without an ass-whipping changes will never be made. The whole team played horrible so Cutler is not the only soul to blame. No protection for our quarterback and no defense for stopping the run was pathetic at best. The transformed and revitalized Benson looked impressive compared to the way he played here in Chicago. Now everybody knows that he had a big head when he played for the Bears due to his success in college and rookie exorbitant financial contract. This was one of the reasons why he didn't gel well with the team which also resulted in his lack of effort and playing subpar if at best. Unfortunately this had to happen to increase his maturity level to succeed in the NFL but the Bears had to pay the cost and will continue to do so if they do not become more aggressive in deciding which players should sit on the bench when they don't produce. As for MR.OCHO "Trash Talking" CINCO, I don't think its cool to brag when you're only human and can go down in a split second due to a career ending injury. Godheads are worthless and he doesn't even come close so only time will tell how far he will get. The Bears will learn from this and move on,so hopefully things will improve but if doesn't it will most definitely be a long season.
Hey josh,
6 and 0
gnight
Bronco fan... but HUGE Jay Cutler fan (still) because I was at Vanderbilt when he was there. Anyway, Cutler is neither a franchise quarterback (yet at least) nor Jeff George Jr. He's simply a young player blessed with an enormous amount of talent and cursed by an out-sized ego and stubborn belief that he can force a ball into any window at any time. A gunslinger- pure and simple. The main point (and source of disappointment for many Bear fans) is that many Bear fans seem to have thought they were trading for a franchise quarterback- and instead they traded for a guy that has the physical gifts to be a franchise QB- but he's not yet a finished product- and it's an open question whether he'll get there.
One of the big problems/surprises with Cutler is that for a guy who went to Vanderbilt and should be a rather cerebral "game plan" X's and O's type QB- he's shockingly impulsive and reckless on the football field. Skip Bayless has it right- Brett Favre Jr.
Plenty of time for someone to get into his grill and reign him in- and Shanahan- who seemed to be making progress with Cutler (Pro Bowl appearance)- may be just the guy for the gig. However, as long as Cutler's surrounded by coaches and fans who throw rose pedals at his feet- he'll NEVER be as great as he could be.
hey krebs,
okay okay, lets not talk about the rockies and their world series run two years ago and their playoff run this year. lets not talk about the nuggets and their western conference final last year. lets not talk about the broncos and their two super bowl wins in the past 11 years of the avalanche and their two stanley cups since 96.
lets just talk about the cubs........
HAR HAE i don't remember being sold anything. Yeah god call guy just give up. Thank god smart people like yourself post, and set guys like me straight. What exactly do you mean by the confused, babbling state of the average Bear fan today? Somehow you've anointed yourself an above average fan. Excuse me for sitting on my couch and calling it like i see it. I didn't mean to insult the expert of all things football. Next time you might want to avoid reading the comments after an article, so you wont be upset by us babbling average Bears fans.

....blame the coaches. We have a very mediocre coaching staff.
blame Ron Turner, may be a good man, but he's not a good play caller. His plays are all 1980's west coast gimmicks. He abandons the run so he can play with his new QB toy.
blame the o-line coaches...
Cutler can't just run around all day when he's being pressured by 3 and 4 man pass fronts. It looks like he's being blitzed every play. Our RB's can only average 2yds a carry. We know Forte can run, but not when he's got defense dominating our o-line.
blame Lovie...
Lovie great man, but average defensive coordinator and below avg head coach. We are being out schemed, out matched, out motivated and out coached.
We have talented players at most positions. We have a QB with more talent than has ever worn a Bear uni at the position. We have an undisciplined and poorly executing team. Professionals still need to be coached and Lovie and his coaches are failing us.
If Denver fans are not bitter then why are you on a Bears message board?
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, sounds like a duck, then it must be a bitter duck the Bears message boards.
I have not once went to a Bengals or Broncos board to complain about what babies or sorry either Benson or Orton are. If there is a baby in the NFL it is Benson by the way.
Face it, if you are a Bronco fan and you see this post because you are posting on babyJay, then you are a bitter loser. Have a great day.
I'm sick of people blaming Cutler for losses. He's the last person that should get the blame. Our coaching blows, our offensive line blows, Matt Forte blows, our WR's blow (although they've been better than expected), Greg Olsen is a bust, our defensive line can't put any pressure on the QB, Zachary Bowman couldn't guard a lawnchair, oh and did I mention Lovie Smith should be fired?
Dear Bears fans,
No hard feelings toward you.
Just friendly advice. Don't get wrapped up in blaming your coaches and players for Jay Cutler's short comings. Jay is NOT a bad player, he's simply NOT the qb you thought you gave the Kings ransom to. He is a Kerry Collins / Culpepper type, NOT a Drew Brees / Phillip Rivers.
Not bad, but NOT the stuff legends are made of.
i agree--i respect orton and am starting to like him a lot more. he got thrown into a hostile environment/situation after McJay-Gate, and has handled it with class and professionalism. his teammates seem to really like him and fans are coming around to him as well. he plays within his limits and and continues to improve/learn/grow--truly impressed by Kyle--regardless of what happens the rest of the year; i respect the man.
I think it's pretty safe to say that Bronco fans are certainly not bitter with the trade any longer. The team is doing much better than expected, they get more of Chicago's picks in next years drafts and the overall future looks pretty bright.
BTW, was that Jay that just threw the INT in the waning minutes... oh no wait, even Eli can have a bad day - just not as many as Jay.
Josh,
We're not bitter about the trade at all. I was fine until cry baby dissed the fans. Now its war
obama and cutler; so much for hope
For the life of me I cannot understand the hate towards Kyle Orton coming from many Bears fans?
He seems like a hard worker, good guy, decent talent but it's like he is blamed for everything wrong with Chicago?
Honestly, just don't "get" it.
Me bitter? I don't think anything I have said could be taken as being bitter except for this being a safe haven for Bronco fans that are still bitter over the Cutler trade.
Also, I am not a cheerleader. We are 3-3 and we stunk TODAY but have been really good at times so far this season so there is reason to believe that we will be better later in the season. If we lose to the Browns next week then I will say its over.
Man, just watched Eli Manning hold the ball for no less than 8 seconds before throwing it. Must be nice
To Denver on
You must be kidding. Denver and Chicago don't even compare.
Nuggets- How many world championships in a row have you won?
Avalanche- Not exactly an original six team.
Rockies- We have two baseball teams with a worldwide fan base.
Broncos- Good luck with our leftovers.
It's a long season.
Bad day to be a Bears fan!! Who you want next season? Bill Cowher,Mike Shanahan, or Jon Gruden. Its a shame Lovie is signed through 2012, and we all know the Bears are way to cheap to buy him out and pay one of the three the money they will demand. I would be happy if they at least gave Ron Turner the pink slip. Its very apparent he is not getting the job done when former players leave our system and thrive in another. We mortgaged our future for Cutler, and Turner has turned him into Rex Grossman. I know it doesn't help that we have no Offensive line, but now we have no draft picks to solve the problem. Which means we will are forced to make upgrades through free agency. Unfortunately the you can't be successful through free agency unless you spend money, and the Bears don't do that.
Now the defense. Can someone tell the Bears teams know how to exploit the cover two. Especially when your team has no secondary to begin with. I mean how many seasons have we watched opposing receivers eat up yards because of the cushion our Defensive backs give them. You wait through every game for the coaches to make an adjustment, and jam a receiver at the line. I'm convinced that adjustment will never come. Even the announcers can now diagram how to beat the cover two. The blame now falls directly on Lovie Smith. He is now calling the defensive plays, Right? Now in his 6th game in that role he has the most points scored on our defense since Dick Jauron's first season. Still a lot of football left. Positives: Cleveland comes to town next week, and Minnesota finally lost a game. Negatives: most college teams could of beat us this Sunday. Man that was Ugly!!!
If the Bears cannot beat the true dregs of the NFL at home then there will truly be no hope.
Orton is a one year wonder. He will start to choke in the second half of the season, watch you fools!
Wow! What a horrible performance. This looks like the beginning on a long slide for the Bears this year.
It's not that us Broncos fans are obsessed with Cutler...we just love seeing an A-hole baby get his due. I'm happy where the Broncos are, they're better than I could have ever expected. I have to say the Bears are exactly where I thought they would be. Cutler will be great some games but horrible others. He is the perfect QB for an 8-8 team. Of course, a worse record will be better since we get your 1st rounder. Enjoy consistent mediocrity with Cutler. Hard to root for a baby, I had to do it in Denver.
Bearfans - enough lame excuses & rationalizing.
SCOREBOARD!
STANDINGS!!!!
YOU GOT POKED!!
End of story
Looks like I can also play on the team. If its a bunch of jokers playing why not me :)
need fantasy help; trade cutler for jarmacuss russell?
josh -
please stop cheerleading - it's embarrassing.
Our Bears STINK - man up and have the sack to admit it.
No need to rush and sign Kyle Orton at this time, in fact the "methodical" Denver franchise has no intentions to do so. The Broncos future is actually very bright (much thanks to the Bears on that one!) whereas the Bears mortgaged the future. This year was supposedly Super Bowl or Bust.
So far I'm betting on Bust. It's okay for you to be bitter though Josh, it's totally understandable, LOL!
Raul,
no anger here, just a little embarrassed after the TEAM took a beating. Like I said, the season isn't even half over so get over yourselves. I doubt any Bronco fans watched the game, Cutlers first pick was after the Bears were already down 21-0. Not much of a chance there.
Raul there are really some scummy Bronco fans on here, but you, sir, take the cake. Waiting for Cutler to break his knee? Because your new coach didn't want him as his QB, and when Cutler realized that he figured it was time to get out of town on his own terms?
All the Bronco fans on here crowing about Orton and "laughing". I don't understand. Why are you all so obsessed? I mean, you claim you are really happy with Orton. Your team is unbeaten. I would think you would be happy. Yet you have this really sick psychological need to make someone else feel bad over Cutler. You all act like jilted lovers. Man crushes I guess.
And now Raul takes it even further. What is wrong with people in Denver? Do you go outside and torture small animals too? Y'all are some sick puppies, aren't you?
I don't even have any words after watching that game! The only thing that made me happy today with football is the fact that donkey fans are still crying about cutler!! No wonder players want out!! I know if we lost a player that sucked or brought the team down and got a " great qb" I would be happy and never follow him again. Makes ya wonder don't it?? Don't know whats more pathetic our 0 line or bronco fans still crying!! But I have good idea which one!!
since you're getting personal on our city:
who would you rather have right now, the broncos or the bears? the rockies or the cubs? the nuggets or the bulls? the avalanche or.....what is the name of your hockey team, again?
face it chicago, we have your number in all four.
throw in the fact that if denver goes for the winter olympics anytime soon, we'll actually get it.
Newsflash to nameless punk
I know Cutler hasn't played in a playoff game yet. Donkey fans keeping bringing up his great 20-12 record or whatever it is. The point being he hasn't even played in the playoffs either. Rex Grossman has a similar record with 2 playoff wins so the "winning" Orton is a poor mans Rex. Screw donkey fans and Orton. Hurry up and sign the man to an extension, he will be a FA come Jan 8th when the Donks lose their first play off game 9-17.
All the ill will directed at Coach is misdirected. It's Angelos' product that is on the field, maybe it's time for a new GM?
not about the record; denver can be 0-6 for all we care; just enjoy watching Cutler stink it up, and take the bears down with him. additionally, as a reminder to bears fans...us bronco fans have a vested interest in how the bears perform this year--our draft position next year depends on it.
Oh, look at this. We got geniuses here. Same fans that were crying about McDaniels - nicknamed him McSuck - and booing Orton during practice. Yah, class act tough guys.
Please, please get rid of Ron Turner, lovie, the offense of line, the defense of line and backfield, and put kirk hinrich on the bus too. That guy was right about the media writers for the tribune and suntimes, there the reason we still got kirk and lost Ben gordon. The dummys are going to trade Tyrus Thomas next. Chicago teams can't see talent.
In case you were not aware... Jay's playoff record is 0-0.
As for the Bears making the playoffs, I would not hold my breath.
Anyone who expected Cutler to lead this team to the superbowl was not thinking straight. This team has been in decline since the Superbowl. Management has not nurtured and developed talent sufficiently to field a balanced team. The defense is no longer great. Cutler alone wasn't going to make the offense phenomenal.
I have never once questioned Lovie. I try not to be that emotional. But at this point I don't see Lovie as someone who is willing to adapt or make changes to right the ship. He strikes me as stubborn or else he simply doesn't have any ideas for adjustments or improvements.
And I don't think any of us would rank Angelo high on the GM wizard list. Sad thing is this team was built for 3 years ago and Denver is sitting on two of our picks.
I think the majority of the people on here are broncos fans...game 1 broncos vs bengals... a toss up ball that luckily got into stokleys hands...game 2 browns suck...game 3 raiders suck....game 4 orton throws a ball that would have been picked off but marshall makes a great play to score the game winning TD..game 5 luck...game 6 special teams win it for you...done
Nice to see Bears fans (the majority, it seems) are still behind Jay (what choice do they have, really?). As this season and the next four years progress that support will most assuredly erode.
Denver fans know all too well that Jay Cutler has all the talent in the world, we also know that he is a head-case, is a turnover pro, has a horrible attitude and is a proven losing QB.
We cannot thank Chicago enough for trading him for the bounty the Broncos received. Every loss the Bears suffer this year is cause for joy in Denver as we own the Bears number one pick next year. The Bears got jobbed by 32 year old Josh McDaniels.
Truth be told, in Denver the possibility of the Broncos making the playoffs seemed doubtful and Chicago had their tickets printed to the Super Bowl. Needless to say I'm liking our chances whereas there seems to be no joy in Mudville, er Chicago.
Keep up the good work Jay & the Bears!!
I have nothing against the bears. Just another team as far as Denver is concerned. But Jay Cutler is the quintessential sourpuss. He knows were watching waiting for him to break his knee. People get what they deserve and Jay screwed and insulted Denver. Enjoy Chicago.
Bears fans, don't mind the "haters" in this blog. I think the numbers here are about 10/90 Bears fans to Bronco fans.Just because the posting name is bearfan_4_decades or bearmeat or bearanything doesn't mean they are actually a bears fan. Don't take the bait!
Hey Bronco fan, we get it, you hate Cutler and you have scoreboard right now with your 6-0 record and our 3-3 record. I have to warn you though, if you play if fire too much you will get burned. This is only week 6 of the season. There is still plenty of football to be played and while your 6-0 record is preferred, the superbowl or the playoffs for that matter are not determined in Oct. The second your team falters you are just asking for Bears fans to be all over your website telling you how horrible your team and just making sh#$ up to piss you off.
After week 17 both the Bears and Broncos will be 10-6 going into wild card weekend, the only difference is the Bears will be going in playing their best football while the donks will be going in in a tailspin wondering what happened to that magical 6-0 team in Oct and you will be wondering how your "winning" QB will play ever win a game in the playoffs. For all his "winning" Orton has never even played in a playoff game. Look it up.
Thomas I agree the whole team stunk today. I just don't think Cutler had a chance in he!! today. Like the interception he threw on 4th and 5. By the time he could get 3 steps back in the pocket he was about to be hit already. On 4th down he had no choice but to just throw it up for grabs. He had no time to throw all day, period.
I don't know if Cutler will turn out to be half what the Bears expected or not, especially if Turner stays as the Offensive offensive coordinator (double word intentional). But he was not even one iota of why the Bears lost today.
Jay "Jeff George" Cutler; what an arm--heck, he can throw an interception harder than anyone.
HA HA HA
HA HA HA!
HA HA HA
HA HA HA!
HA HA HA
HA HA HA!HA HA HA
HA HA HA!
HA HA HA
HA HA HA!
:D
BWAHAHAHAHHAAA!!! Cutler is one worthless cry baby, that's $20M well spent! Pathetic!
OK. For too long we have let players go, receivers, quarterbacks, running backs...to name a few, Berrian, Orton, Thomas Jones, Cedric Benson, to watch them go to a team and become very successful. At some point as an organization you have to say, there is a piece of this team that is deficient. To have a pro bowl QB come in and look mediocre, to have a running back show great promise then go flat, to have two of what people call the fastest receivers and returners in the league look like crap...IT IS THE OFFENSIVE LINE! The play is started and timed by these guys. Any time the Bears throw a screen it's busted, hitch passes busted. It's BS, and it's time to let go of the offensive line, our most "experienced" and together group. GET RID OF THEM, find new guys, build there and the team will improve! Our marquis players are fine, the offensive line sucks! Now don't even get me started on the D...that was just atrocious today, I have never felt more embarassed about the Bears...oh wait, the Super Bowl appearance felt the same way, but the BENGALS?!?!?
Hey iceberg and liz. What team are you a fan of?
This team is 4 missed FGs away from being 1-5. They're horrid, period. Today the truth just came to light.
Rex is our quarterback...
Liz:
The Bears sheep, I mean Bears fans, been showing up for DECADES to watch the garbage they put on the field. You still have jokers who can't let 1985 go.
All the money in the world and this is one of the most poorly run franchises in sports, yet they've conned these fans time & time again.
Is it just me, or is ol' Jay wishing he had kept his ego in check about now? If so, he would be quarterbacking a potential Super Bowl team and would be on his way to another Pro Bowl working in Denver's qb friendly system. Is it just me? Yeah, it's probably just me.
Stratmaster got to get one dig in against Cutlers look.
While what you said earlier about line play being key. And the Bears line play on both sides of the ball was terrible today. QB is still the most important position. And Frankly Cutler just doesn't seem that inspiring. After he threw his last interception to Olsen he seemed to indicate that it was Olson's fault. This seems to be a recurring pattern with Cutler.
Also Bears Secondary was also bad total confusion. Missed assignments, poor communications etc.
Today reminded me of that Joke when McKay used to coach the
Bucs and someone asked him what he thought of his teams execution and he said he was in favor of it.
Or when Stram coached the Saints and they where so bad one week that he had the game tape burned.
MinnesotaBears Fan:
Tell Mommy her caps lock is stuck. Its past your bed time isn't it?
PS. The Bears DO suck.
The Bears looked like the Cubs today. The "lovable loser" label is spreading all over Chicago. Wonder if Bears fans will blindly show up for games that feature lousy teams the way Cubs fans do. If so, we are heading for some bad seasons ahead in the next few years.Oh well, as a Cubs fan, winning doesn't REALLY matter.
1st the parking meters, then the Cubs, then the Olympics, now Da Bears. Not a good time in Chicago eh?
Marinelli's team ended up 0-16 for a reason. How's that defense working out for you now, Bears Fans?
It's hard to believe this is the same team that beat the
Steelers. WOW DA BEARS better call 911. It's a good thing
Tommy Harris did'nt play, he could've gotten hurt.
What the Chicago Bears need to do is put Jay Cutler on the Cheerleader squad in a nice little bikini and then he will be happy ... and the fans will be too.
Send one of the current cheerleader babes in as QB and she still couldn't toss any more interceptions than Jay.
Give the guys on the Bears' team a break -- they get bruised fighting for field position and then after all that work - time and again ... the "boy wonder" gives the ball to the opposing team. Not good for morale, loyalty, winning, or fans. ... but good material for being a male cheerleader.
Bears fans, Bill Clinton would say, "I feel yer pain".
Us BENGALS had som BAD teams in the 90's, I mean really bad teams, but most of the time you could see the guys we had were trying & playing hard. We were just out played & out coached,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Watching the BEARS today is a mystery...your coach looks like he just woke up from a long sleep and the Bears just going through the motions....I am HUGH BENGALS Fan, but I know or team is good and competative but still not great,,,which is what I mean that BEARS fan should be very concerned..It just looked like your guys don't care
Just fire Offensive Coordinator Ron Turner. There is no way the Bears who had a former Kyle Orton doing so well in Denver while the Bears have the former Denver QB, Jay Cutler, in which we know is a probowl QB doing so ba. All the sudden Cutler is throwing 2-4 interceptions per game? No, that is strictly the FAULT OF RON TURNER.
If the Bears want to have a chance to be competitive, RON TURNER MUST BE, MUST BE FIRED. And if Lovie Smith won't fire offensive coordinator Ron Turner than FIRE Lovie Smith too.
HO HO
HEY JAY -
HOW MANY PICKS DIDJA throw TODAYY????!!!
(hint - enough to lead the NFL)
It seems the rest of u are seeing what I've seen in Dovie Smith for 4 years.
NOTHING.
This team is unprepared 2 play every week. They scheme 2 lose.
It's OVA. 10 games and counting.
Again all you Denver fans and Cutler haters. This loss is not about Cutler. Not about his talent, lack of talent, maturity, lack of maturity, td's or int's. There is nothing wrong with Cutler except he chose to come to the Bears. This is about an inept Lovie's buddies coaching staff, bad ownership and hapless fans not knowing how to say NO we won't settle for this anymore.
Lovie Smith and his coaches do not know how to develop, evaluate and build talent. They have no clue and the fact that we got Cutler will only bring this to the forefront faster. I was so happy that we finally have a quarterback who is not just a game manager like Orton or Grossman. The fact that we have some talent at qb will expose the lack of talent that we have coaching the talent. There will be no change until we get new leadership and a new defensive mindset. Look how we have handled talent the past few years. Cedric Benson, allowed to pout, be a loner in the team, get beat up by teammates and withdraw into a shell of his former self. Look what he is doing now. Devin Hester removed from the most explosive and valuable position to now a nobody reciever who makes almost zero impact. Matt orte totally regressing before our eyes. From rookie of the year to again, a nobody with zero impact. Next year Johnny Know will be there as well. DO NOT SUPPORT THE BEARS by going to games, buying thier merchandise, watching thier product. We can demand better
Thomas, thanks for the comment. there is always one comment every week condemning Cutler for "the look on his face" and claiming that shows his lack of heart, or concern etc. I would have been disappointed if we had missed a week. Maybe he just had gas?
You guys traded a ton of high draft picks to get Culter.
He is always been Mr. Jekyl/Hyde in Denver.
He always choke in close important games at the end of the game.
You guys got one ever childish QB and gave away the house to get him.
Playoffs??Playoff???PLAYOFFS???????
Thanks for the link echo. I had been checking back about every half hour for them to post it. Appreciate it
This was maybe the worst game I've seen played by the Bears in a good twenty years. You had the Bears lineman both offense and defense being pushed around. Did anyone else see Tank Johnson push two Bears back in the back field. Or Bears defensive lineman being turned every which way. The only players who showed up was Briggs and Hester. Did anyone else notice Cutlers face when he walked onto the field with his team down by fourteen. The total lack of evidence of concern there is no fire in him no desire to win.
What about the Bears Secondary. In the red zone time and again you saw the Bears players confused not knowing who was covering who. Bengal receivers seemed to have five yards of space in the end zone again and again.
On Bensons touchdown he just walked in even though everyone in the stadium knew he was going to get the Ball.
This may not have been so bad except for the fact that last week the Bears gave the game away to Atlanta. Does anyone think the Bears can win a game against a playoff team especially on the road.
Next week they get the Brown's if they can't beat them and beat them badly the Bears season is over.
You people really need to calm down. This game is still won in the trenches. If you watch any good teams you'll see how much time the quarterback has to survey the field because of a good offensive line and how good the DLine is playing (Minnesota, Saints, Bengals, Denver). The Bears O Line has 2.5 out of 5 players. Olin Kreutz and Orlando Pace suck. Kreutz needs to be replaced by the heir apparent Beekman and quit waiting for him to retire. Pace needs to be cut and a veteran free agent O tackle needs to be signed. The defensive line will be decent next year with Gaines, Adonijaye, Adams, and Brown. We need two competent safeties.
I have never been this embarassed watching the Bears before in my life. The offensive and defensive lines were both terrible. I could not think of one positive thing to take away from this game. It was almost as if losing in Atlanta last week ripped out Cutler's heart, because he played like he had none today. If something is not done by Lovie Smith and his staff after this, then he needs to go. The same stoic crap that he gives every loss will not cut it this time.
One quick thing though: Frank Nitty, talk like a grownup. The way you sound, I'm amazed that you earn enough to have lunch money.
lovie smith post game
http://www.nfl.com/videos/chicago-bears/09000d5d813b2364/Bears-postgame-press-conference
Rex Cutler!
bears should sign steve breaston in the offseason, he will be a free agent.
bears4life - be STRONG brother!
We just need to clean up this mess - Lovie - mgt - cutler, ALL of it,
and start over.
The Bears will be BACK - sadly it's going to take 5+ years to make it happen. BOYCOTT this mess until they clean it up!!
Keep the faith.
Lovie's dull Cover 2 exposed again-Angelo's idiotic draft choices exposed-lack of talent exposed-cheap, stupid management exposed.
i was referring to tampa bay, not denver.
sorry about that.
Who would have thought that Garza is our best lineman?
Today was the worst day of my life. I feel like someone kicked my dog a couple times, after he broke his leg.
I was near tears at the end of the game. I am heartbroken that this season is a waste now. Something must be done!
benson was a talented player who acted like a baby in chicago and could not reveal his true talent because of an old offensive line blocking for him.
lovie smith is not going to take us to the SB again, that's the truth.
we need more talent evaluators for the offense and how we sign free agents, tired of old offensive linemen as free agents signings!
the bears are not going to win with the tampa 2 this year for two reasons: no Urlacher, no Tommie Harris. The DT and MLB are essential to the Tampa 2, as it was in denver > (sapp, brooks, simeon rice, ronde barber
lovie's scheme is too conservative when you have a player like cutler and they are not surrounding him with the necessary talent.
smith does not draft well also
remember the guy smith pushed angelo to draft in the second round in 07, dan buzuin. and where is he?
Frank Nitty's on to something
BOYCOTT THESE CLOWNS at home until they prove they are a PRO team and not a bunch of clowns!
BOYCOTT - BLACKOUTs - (who wants to watch THIS???)
Is Chicago full of whiny little biznitches like this? Geez, one game and everyone has their feelings hurt. Guess what people?? There is NO ONE that works for the Chicago Bears that cares what you think, nor will they, as long as you continue to buy tickets to the games. You guys don't like it? Quit going to games. Quit watching the games on tv. Pretty hard to figure out isn't it? If I lived in Chicago, I have a feeling I would be taking all of you little biznitches lunch money on the daily!!!
You folks keep forgetting that those of us in donkey land have a real interest in the season that Da Bears have that goes far beyond Mr Cutler. We want that number 1 pick in 2010 to be a good one. Would we love to see Da Bears go 3 and 13? You bet! Dont think we can reasonably dream of that kind of record since you cant possibly be worse than the Rams and the Lions so that pretty much assures that you will win at least three more games.
Reading all of these comments makes me feel really sick. Sick of the Bears organization painfully sticking it to their fans. I knew the day they traded for Cutler was a dark day in Bear history. Like many of you fans have said, he is nothing more than a selfish, little baby who happens to have a strong arm. He is Jeff George junior. I for one will not watch them again with him as their QB. I'll finish my once-again-wasted NFL Ticket money on watching Brett Favre. Too bad I wasted a ton of money on cool Bear clothing and stuff. I guess I will wear the stuff after the season in rememberance of their great players. Did you see how great our latest acquisition played today? Number 99 looked like a bean-poll statue out there. Angelo and Hendry have ruined the Bears and Cubs for the future as well as putting a shabby team on the fields.
If Cutler was still in Denver the Broncos would not be undefeated. Here's why.
Many experts and fans predicted failure in Denver this year, but that was mainly because of the trade. So, if the trade doesn't happen, then the Broncos are an unknown product going into the season.
The defense was learning and growing. And became more confident game by game. Cutler is a gunslinger and he would have thrown into double and triple coverage just like he did tonight and pretty much every week.
Those risks would have led to interceptions and Coach/QB confrontations with McDaniels. The fanbase, of course, would side with their beloved Cutler and rationalize his mistakes away (like Bears fans are doing now) leading to a call for McDaniels to be fired after a 3-3 start (much like Bears fans are doing now).
Broncos fans are not gloating over being 6-0.....
there is a long season ahead.
we are not gloating about the Bears being 3-3.
we are however thrilled that Jay is gone, after the crap he pulled here in denver. He is not a championship leader. Not a true team person his only interest is himself. Chicago fans will find out like we did after watching him in person and every week on TV...he has a great arm do doubt. He will throw an INT. at the worst time every game.
He bragged he Could throw harder then ELWAY... John has the rings!!
Sorry Chicago you have benn sold a bill of goods.
FOR SALE: 2 tickets to the Super Bowl for the next 15 years to watch Cutler and the Bears. Also two tickets to the ticker-tape parade in Chicago for the next 15 years. Finally, 2 more tickets to the Hall of Fame enshrinement in the year 2024.
Seems jsut a couple of weeks ago, the Tribune had an article proclaiming Cutler te next coming of Dan Marino or any other great NFL QB. Seems that Cutler is the next coming of Bob Avellini.
Gotta love it, Cutler will certainly lead the league in INTS, he is such a Jeff George Drone.
HEY BEARS ... NOW THAT YOU'VE HIRED POUTY-BOY GO AHEAD AND HIRE SHANAHAN. ONE LOSER - GOOD. TWO - PERFECT.
It's pretty funny reading these comments...Try being a Detroit Lions fan...then, and only then, would you crybabies have a right to complain.
Lovie and his buddy Rod Marinelli have done a great job using the defensive playbook from the Lions, seems like they've got it down pat especially today. Time to give us Bear fans a break and ship Lovie, Rod, Ron and Mr. Angelo out of town with some one way plane tickets. Might want to take a few of the lame multi-million dollar players with them.
Hey, Bill Cowher any chance you might be interested in taking over this bunch of bozo's and make them into a contender?
milehigh I would love to see his demeanor in the press conference, if I could only find the damned video on the web. I have been to ESPN, did a Google search, looked here etc and can not find the postgame press conference video. You wouldn't happen to be able to point me to it would you? I wouldn't even consider you an obnoxious Bronco fan anymore if you did lol
I dont think there has been much gloating. I havent read a whole bunch of Broncos are the best blah blah blah comments.
"Jon Kate
Be careful Denver fans, the more you gloat the more likey it will backfire."
Kinda like how the relentless gloating Bears fans did on Denver blogs during the off-season has backfired.
I cant help it, really I cant, Im relishing in the moment. I never had anything against the Bears, I had alot against cutler and guaranteed u would too if he pulled this BS trade like he did in Denver. He has a ton of potential. He could be a serious threat and might be someday but his attitude and level of maturity is horrible. He needs to pull it together. He owes Chicago big time. You guys gave up alot to get him. Look at his press conference comments, hes a salty little bitch. He will never provide your team with motivation or leadership. I looked in the mirror and sorry, all I saw was a sexy bitch that was right.
Nick, the Bears won't fire Lovie because they would have to eat his contract. It's not because he is black; just ask Dennis Green, Herm Edwards, and Romeo Crennel! The organization is too cheap to fire Lovie and Jerry.
Alpha, I don;t disagree with you completely, but why the Hester hate? He is actually the one guy who has played well the last 2 weeks, including over 100 yards receiving today. I acknowledge the fumble, but it was a pretty good hit at the right time... Yeah, he should have held onto it, but lets face it, the offense never had a chance today with the hole the defense put them in.
Boy am I glad we snapped up Rod Marinelli the instant he bacame available. I bet every other team in the NFL wanted him real bad. And now that he's worked with the players, isn't it nice to see the Bear's D-line pressure and sack the oposition's quarterback with regularity?
That Marinelli, he's a legend of a coach. Almost as much of a legend as Ron Turner.
One more interesting comment by Broncos vets that came out in the media last week, Orton is the hardest working qb they have ever seen. Puts in more time then both Cutler and Plummer. Can't get him out of the film room. Makes you wonder why exactly Mc.D was so eager to trade Cutler? However Cutler haters are blind, he has great ability but man could his attitude use improvement he brings negative energy even through a camera.
This was embarassing. How do you come out of a bye week and play in this manner two weeks in a row. Fire Lovie Smith and the rest of his staff. I am tired of his no passion approach to coaching the Bears.
I am shocked at the player moves made by this team. Matt Forte is hurt. This team needed a third running back after Kevin Jones got hurt. This team just sits on it hands and tries to put the weight of the Defense on Brian Urlacher and now they are trying to put the weight of the offense on Jay Cutler.
Devin Hester has disappered on this team. He is not a freak'n wide receiver. He is a punt returner / kick returner. This experiment is a failure. This team needs a wide receiver with a freak'n personality that will demand the ball.
I am ashamed of the Chicago Bears on this day. Jobs are so hard to find in this economy, but yet we have a team of players and coaches that go out lose in this manner. The city of Chicago comprises hard working people. This team shamed my home town and all my family members that have busted their rears working in the city of Chicago.

Here is the deal.....David Haugh...the Tribune Paper, and the rest of the Chicago media were all Thomas Jones fans. They looked for any reason to make Benson seem like he was aloof, a bad team mate, immature, or anything else their feeble little minds could come up with. Everyone else just followed them like sheep. Before you knew it the entire perception of a quiet new guy is defined and poisoned by a a bunch of wind bags that never liked him. They (and you "Bear fans") forgot how he was a big part of the 1-2 punch running game that got the Bears to the Super Bowl. Check the stats.... same yards per carry and tds as Jones that year. And yet you got "Benson needs to stop pouting" columns after Benson didn't get into a game in Min in 06. The column was based on Benson's facial expressions on the sideline!!! The sideline!!!! He said nothing... the coaches said he was into the game and ready if his number was called, and never complained, but that jerkoff Haugh took it upon his self to draw his own conclusions... based off nothing. And the 2nd game against KC in 07 (a win by the way) what did the Chicago media write? "that was the quietest 100 yd game I've ever seen"....What???....A guy runs for a 100 yds in his 2nd game in his 1st yr as a starter and that's what you write? I'm glad he got out of that cesspool of negativity in Chicago. I'm sure Bengals fans will except him and cheer for the league's leading rusher on their GOOD football team just fine. You awful Chicago writers can take your career below .500 "franchise" QB and "impressive" young RB stud and lead your herd of Bear fan sheep right to the top of the 2010 draft...... Enjoy!!!!...Good game Cedric!!!
Can anyone out there point me to video of Lovie smith and Jay Cutler's post game press conference? I have been searching for an hour and can't find it. I have to admit I am curious to see if Lovie had anything other than his usual calm demeanor and mundane assessment. Thanks in advance.
At least get creative with the headline: "lose" is too mild. Possible headlines are
Bengals Benson Tramples Buffoonish Bears
Ron Turner: The Dog Ate My Playbook.
Lovie Smith Forgets Regular Season Began
Sends in the Practice Squad
Lovie Smith Throws in Red Flag
No Bears on the Field
Cutler Happy Contract Signed
No Longer Needs to Score
EPA cites Cincinnati for Stench Over Bengals Stadium
And ...
Typical game for a Cutler team-big numbers for Jay,and the team is never in it.
He got Shanny fired in Denver and he'll get Lovie fired in Chicago. And he'll get your next coach fired, too.
Two words describe Cutler: CAREER LOSER.
Im not claiming the Broncos are going to the SB this year. And I wouldnt say they're not. Noone knew what our team was going to look like, everything was new. I take it game by game and have been pleasently suprised with the way things are going. Unlike most bears fans we didnt run our mouths talking about how awesome we were going to be so we dont have a bubble to burst. Im sure u do blame the snaps on Olin, ofcourse you do, but even tho, why cant a superstar quarterback still manage to work with that. Isnt that what awesome qb's are made of? Maybe ur right maybe Ortons a 1 year wonder but as far as Bears fans predictions go, I dont think Ill take your word for it.
goodbye lovie, hello mike shanahan, timeout the bears will hire some no name d-coordinator. Sad.
For all you bears fans I am not a bronco fan here to talk @#$@. Only to point out that I agree it is coaching!! One thing Mc.D was always saying following the Cutler trade was that it was Orton that made the deal! That he felt Orton was a perfect fit in his system. More important than Cutlers numbers are Matt Castle's. He is a disaster in KC and was a 11 win stat producing QB for Mc.D. It was him that sparked the Cutler trade and makes you realize he would also have enjoyed a great year in denver had that deal gone through. So you need a coach, our old one might be a nice fit.
Back up the truck... And make sure Lovie, Jerry and Virginia are on it. Sell the team and move it to...I don't know...Sioux Falls? I'd rather have NOTHING than this. Oops. That's what we have, already. Nothing.
I'm losing it because
THIS IS NOT BEAR FOOTBALL! We have a great tradition of toughness and winning that goes back forever - I am (or WAS) PROUD to be a Bears supporter!
This level of play is UNACCEPTABLE - not just something you write off and go "oh well ..."
It's despicable.
And we traded all our future for this??????
It's going to take YEARS to fix this.
Papa Bear is rolling in his grave -
clean house NOW. 45-10 (and it should have been worse) to the bungals?????
Coaches, gm, line, cutler and the rest of this farce MUST GO!! Blow it up and start from scratch!
BEST TRADE EVER!
"Bears_fan_4_decades.....Don't blame Cutler for the suckiness of the offensive line and the defense. When the offense don't block and don't open up gaps for Forte there is a chance Cutler and Forte are not going to play a good gam. Blame Lovie Smith and Turner, and Angelo for not firing them."
Not true. Cutler had a great O-line in Denver and he still turned the ball over in critical situations. INTs hurt more than TDs help. Don't be dazzled by the big arm.
The season is still young, 10 more games to go. Please only judge when the season is over. Be careful Denver fans, the more you gloat the more likey it will backfire. And Bears fans...get a grip!
Maybe you can trade Cutler back to Denver. Throw in a few more #1 picks and they may bite. Bears headed for 6-10. Cutler is a LOSER....
Cutler=Jeff George Stong arm never won
This reminds me of '86-87 -
We need to SUE THE McCaskys. This is FRAUD!!
We are paying big money for seats at what is supposed to be a "professional" football game.
This version of the Bears is NOT A PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM - they are semi-pro LOSERS at best!
Lets get a good local attorney and file a class action suit on behalf of all season ticket holders and fans for fraud - We're paying for pro football
and we're getting high school girl's soccer!!!!!!!
SUE THE BEARS - the STINK!!!
bears_fan_4_decades you may not be a loser and/or a troll. But you definitely need anger management and counseling. Relax dude. Its a game.
One would think that you have lost your job, home, wife, kids and dog. ALL in one shot.
Cutler is worth every penny. You can always count on JC to make a big play in critical situations.
Problem is the big play is just as likely to be for the opponent as it is for the Bears.
Indy, N.O. and Denver might not not be much as cities go (as my Chicago relatives/friends are fond of telling me, and as I readily admit), but when it comes to the subject of pro football, for some strange, unfathomable reason, they just don't seem to want to discuss it lately.
I think the NFL should be divided into two conferences called the Junior Varsity Conference and the True Varsity Conference. Then the bears could play teams like St.Louis, Oakland, Tennessee, Tampa Bay, Detroit et al, while leaving the REAL pro teams (like Indy) to play each other. It would really make for much better telivision.
HAhahahahahahahahahahahahaha Oh! I have another line available!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
The laughable thing is, the bears have SO many gaping holes in the O-line, secondary, WR unit and DT's. Yet they traded their first and 2nd round picks away next year. This team is garbage!
Laughable team, laughable game.
I've said it all along. Cutler is one of the most overrated QB's in the game. He's a franchise QB for what? He has a losing record, he is not a leader, he overreacts, calls out his WR's, throws picks... He has a strong arm. He's got a combine arm that scouts love so i guess he's a franchise QB?
OVERRATED!
So their Bears played a bad game... ok, a really bad game but this IS NOT the end of the world. As Jon Madden would say: The Bears need some big uglies on the offensive and defensive line because right now they are getting whipped up front.
I live in Denver. Most of the fans hated Josh and his new system when he 1st got off the plane. Thoses yahoos filled the local sport radio crying about how ownership was making a big mistake and wanted the team to go 0-16.
Now all the love for Josh, Orton and Marshall. The Bronco bubble will burst. Just watch!
I'd love to see Gruden as the Coach but I'll settle for Shanahan, Billick, or the drunk guy passed out on Lake Shore Drive.
I've been a bears fan since the George Halas / Rick Casares / Bill George / Joe Fortunato / Lujack / Bobby Layne Midway Monster days,
and was blessed and lucky enough to still be living in Chicagoland during the '85 season with Walter as well. Been there - done that.
I ain't no g@ddam troll like I get called by sukup losers here when I get furious about games like this -
This team is one of the worst excuses for a football team I've ever seen. Little girls grabbin' their ankles!!!
No defense - special teams STINK - limp impotent offense, cr@ppy coaching,
and a $50 million-dollar PUNK for a qb!!
Denver really stuck it to us, and I bet they're laughing their butts off!!
They dumped an over-rated overPAID jerk on us, cleaned us out of our best draft picks for the future,
got a surprise WINNER for a qb thrown in,
and they're 6-0 relaxing on a bye week, playoffs virtually guaranteed,
watching us get s@domized by the Bengals on Fox coast-to-coast!!!!
I'm taping the presser after the game and advise all Bears' fans to do the same - so we can watch our resident punk qb display his boredom and arrogance to the press and the fans just like he did in donkeyland last year after throwing picks up for grabs off his back foot and LOSING game after GAME!!
Hey, ... Jay's gettin' paid - what the hell does HE care.
The donkees really stuck it to us this time - and it's gonna' take YEARS to undo the damage. Congrats McCaskys -
and GOODBYE playoffs indefinitely!!
LOSERS!!!!!!!!
Stupid stupid losers Losers LOSERS!!!!!!!!!! (and we're payin' for it!)
Jay Cutler and this team SUCK BLUE WHALE!!!!!
so what do people think about Schaefer and Beekman (sp?) making the starting line-up next week for the oline... and gaines adams making his first start next week at defensive end... time to go out and sign D. Brooks at linebacker... At this point I will sacrafice age/talent for a smart vet. who will not make mental mistakes...
Did the Bears know this guy had Type II diabites when they went after him. No offense to the people who may have this dispicable disease, but you do not put so much on the line for a football player with this type of disease.
My season prediction for the Chicago Bears - Lovie is fired and Mike Shanahan is brought on board. Sounds crazy huh? But you can't forget it was right after Shanahan was fired by the Broncos, that Cutler started his foot stomping antics and demanded to be traded. I wonder if there was a agreement in Cutler's contract extension that includes Shanahan?
My only question is: if Lovie thought so higly of Cedric Benson, why didn't he fight harder to keep him and starighten him out in Chicago instead of giving him a good recommendation to Marvin Lewis? Oops, I already know why. Two words: Jerry Angelo. Angelo has ruined the Bears like he ruined the Bucaneers.
P.S. There is no use crying: Fire Lovie. That would make Angelo admit he made a mistake and he is too pig-headed to ever admit all the mistakes he has made.
Gruden to the rescue PLEASE. Lovie is a dinosaur in terms of his coaching schemes and has got to go.
No, the Broncos would not be 6-0 if Cutler was still their quarterback. More like 2-4 they would have lost to Cinci, New England, Dallas and San Diego. Most of us know that Cutler is who we thought he was. He is not a winner. Look at his posture on the sidelines, he only cares about himself, not the team, sorry Chicago.
Denver fans, I have no doubt some Bears fans took it upon themselves to rub your faces in the trade, so you have every right to be here.
Just understand what you're setting yourselves up for when you lose in the playoffs ... If you're being honest with yourselves, you're not SB caliber yet. But with all our draft picks, you most likely will be. Sigh.
Like JJ said, most of us hope Orton does well. You guys have a solid squad this year, but you're a bad 6-0, like we're a bad 3-3. Your season reminds me of the Bears in 2001. Lucky. Lucky. Lucky. Good. Lucky.
While many of you argue about QB's and Receivers, the posters who mentioned the Offensive and Defensive lines being the key seem to be the only ones who have a clue about football. So, to the Denver fans, when our center can actually snap the ball cleanly, our Off. line and TE can stop a 4-man rush long enough for a 5-step drop, and our Offensive Coordinator gets his play calling into the 21st century, I will start worrying about Cutler. When Lovie Smith realizes the Cover 2 is an old scheme, that all the other teams have it figured out, and that he doesn't have the right personnel for it even if it were viable, then i will worry about Cutler. When Cutler is actually making throws from a position other than falling to the ground as he gets hit, then I will worry about Cutler.
BTW, Brats are really more of a Wisconsin thing than a Chicago thing. I just want to help you get your perceived insults straight. Maybe try hot dogs...you know, Chicago Style Hot Dogs?
Oh well. If the Bears aren't any good this year, at least they have a lot of high draft picks to build a good team.
Huh? What's that you say? They don't have high draft picks? They traded them for CUTLER? Are you kidding me? They traded away Orton for Cutler? And DRAFT PICKS TO BOOT? What? And did you just say that they just gave Cutler an extension and 20 mil bonus?
uh oh. You guys are in bad bad shape.
How ironic, for years the bears have good o-line and backs and no quarterback, now its just the opposite. Bears are horrid in the trenches. If Denver had Cutler, they would be serious threat to win superbowl but with Orton, AFC championship is the best they can hope for.
Hey everybody !!
Check it out it is all over ESPN.. Jay Cutler called Josh McDaniels and the Broncos, Said he is will to back up Orton, and clean his jock, if Kyle would teach him how to be a LEADER !!!!
Gerber is callin, Jay so smile...er i mean make a POUTY face !!!
I have been saying this from day one. The quarterback is NOT, i repeat IS NOT, the head of the team. YOU MUST have your offensive line in place first before any other position. PERIOD!! It is as simple as this, to win a football game you must score touchdowns. If you DO NOT have the offensive line in which to do this with, then you cannot run successfully, you cannot pass successfully, and you cannot sustain a drive, your defense will stay out on the field, and you will not score. The offensive line is the base of the team, and until this is understood the bears will not win another championship ever. One way or the other, get a line together, be it through free agency or draft, that consists of thoroughbreds, players who have proven themselves. Not projects, or the washed up. If bears fans cant understand that the offensive line is were the team starts then please just shut up!! And if the front office cant evaluate this then get the L out of town.
An analogy to break it down,
Some of us bears fan cried for a quarterback, and we got a quarterback, but we dont have an offensive line. You put a fancy new steering wheel on your 81 cadillac that has a bad engine. The steering wheel looks nice but you still cant drive the car because the engine is shot. Thus making the steering wheel useless.....
Mile High....I blame tha snaps on Olin Krutz...he has done it with Grossman and Orton. And for the interceptions if the offensive line fault for not being ablt to block. Cutler was always running around trying to get more time to throw the ball.
Angelo is a disgrace as a GM. I give him credit for aggressively going after Cutler, but his draft picks the past few years simply suck. As for Lovie, what an inept buffoon for a coach. Leaders build the character and climate of their organizations, and this current Bears team clearly reflects Lovie's personality. They are soft, unmotivated, and lack passion, intensity and toughness. I totally agree with other posters who commented that Angelo and Lovie cannot evaluate or develop talent. Please fire these two morons now!
The worst display of footbal seen in years. Was John Shoop back running the offense? The Defense is a total failure; this is a team in need of re-building, starting with a new head Coach and staff! Cutler, knock it off with the interceptions already, you are getting paid big money to tell the difference between bears' jerseys and the opponents!
JDBroncoFan....Orton will be a one year wonder. I promise you that.
good football teams need to be able to win low scoring games.... can't blame on offesnes... when offense is in a 31-0 hole right off the bat in the late second quarter you may as well as put a blind fold on jay cuttler and the rest of the offense and expect them to be productive... Defense is a joke... Coaching is joke.... Cinci new exactly 100% how to beat us... Cinci is not a great team... our defense was not coming off its blockers to make tackles, almost to the point that i that i was yelling out holding penalties on every play... but when you took a closer look we couldn't shake a blocker for the life of us.... complete disgust in this defense and coaching system... After a coaching failure last week this was the final nail in the coffin...
Long-time Bears fan here. I went outside to rake leaves at 14-0, stuck my head back in to find it 31-0, and turned off the TV for the afternoon. Got a lot done and made it a productive day. Beautiful weather to be outdoors.
Gee isn't the Bears defense real good since the moronic head coach took over the coordinating? What will Lovie's excuses be? He will probably say we got beat in all aspects of the game. One of his understatements for sure! Appears Cutler's passes did not hurt the Bears as much as the defense did. Sure Cutler made passes he shouldn't have but what are you going to do when down by 4 TDs after in the first half? Go I thought Abe Gibron and Neil Armstrong were bad as Bears coaches but no one can take Lovie Smith's place. He sucks in all aspects. How many times did his wonderful cover 2 defense give up big plays? Whole coaching staff has to go! Come on Virgina, wise up, Papa Bear would not put up with this stuff.
Game was nowhere near as close as the score would indicate.
Maybe the silver lining to this mess is that we finally get rid of Ron Turner & Lovie Smith. Ron Turner's offense is predictable & disjointed. Lovie may be a nice guy & a gentlemen but he does not seem capable of motivating a team or disciplining one. The lines are overpaid and old. The Tampa 2 needs to be scrapped. Tillman & vasher arm tackle or get beat on slants constantly or deep.
Lovie is personally running the " D " this year and it is porous at best. Still no pass rush. Orton goes to Denver and is undefeated. Cutler comes here and looks like Grossman. The constant - Ron Turner & his staff.
Fire them and get some one who can jack them up.
Crybaby Jay had NO IDEA what he was doing out there half the time. This is two weeks in a row the Bears haven't been ready for their opponents. Ted Phillips, PLEASE fire Lovie Smith. And Jerry Angelo, too.
Maybe Next Time .....David Haugh...You'll take the Tribune Paper and Stick it in YOUR Mouth and Shut Up for hating on Benson. You and the rest of this city treadted him WRONG, was STUPID for sideing with Thomas Jones (who should've taken him under his wing instead of competing against him and keeping the Lockerroom divided)
Sweet Revenge Indeed!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Oh Look...I have more Characters Remaining.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Next Time....THINK before you open your mouth.
You ARE the Weakest Link...
GOODBYE!
May i please have some water,
Watchin Jay "Gerber Baby" pout, tired me out.
Chi-town it will take years 4 ya to rebuild. jay will throw 25 INTs. this year, who ya gonna blame that on?
He is throwin into the "DEADZONE" like a deer in rut... never sees the semi TRUCK !!!!!
Thanx for the 2010 draft pick....
Throw Jay throw it !!!! nice Gerber baby
Lovie's post game comment was "I didn't have my team ready to play today". Is there any better reason for a coach to be fired? I know the Bears won't can him mid season, but it's time to get the next coach in place and hopefully move forward. Lovie & Co continue to retreat.
This team has been on a downward slide since week 6 in 2006 (When Dennis Green exposed Lovie Smith and the Bears for who they really were - Frauds). The faded badly in the 2nd half of '06 barely winning games. The almost got beat by a 9-7 Seattle team in their 1st playoff game that year.
In '07 they got off to a 1-3 start. Lovie Smith is a FRAUD.
Last year - big game blown in Atlanta, big game blown against the hapless BUCS and Brian Griese, and again no playoffs. This guy does not inspire, does not prepare, nor adjust his team. He's a fraud and should be fired - but that won't happen, cause the McCaskey's are too cheap.
Tonight the Bears O-line couldn't even defend against a four-man blitz. What's up with that? How does this organization draft or recruit that they don't have ANYONE who can play? I'm beginning to wonder if the coaching staff has a clue about how to build the game around the players they do have. After all, other teams seem to know how to do that.
number 9, i agree that booing your team is lame. But I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with why the bears stunk. Philly fans are the toughest on their home team and the Phillies are doing just fine. booing or cheering has almost no effect on a game's outcome.
Yo, Sweet34a, man cool out. What are you going to do if Denver fans post on this site, hunt them down? I mean give me a break the Bears looked terrible and if I am not mistaken you are one of the Bears fans that thought bring in Cutler would take the Bears to the SB. Just because the Bears are a lot worse than everyone thought doesn't mean you have to post foolish, meaningless threats on the blog. I mean the Denver fans are just shaking in their Denver 7-0 Bronco Cowboy boots. Besides this is America if anyone from any team wants to post why are you so upset about it. Get a life, no matter what it is only a stupid game.
OMG you guys are in denial, was it all Cutlers fault? No. But did he play horrible? Yes. 2 dropped snaps, 3 interception? What was his passer rating like 43.2? HA HA HA. Get off his junk, hes not the superstar you pretend. make him accountable like you do your coaches, your OL, your defense, everyone but him. And Denver fans are on here because its hilarious! We couldnt ask for a much better turnout with this whole thing. You Bears fans talked a little but to much shir a little to early for us not to be on here laughing. We will continue to be here aslong as you continue to suck.
Bears D was d today. That was one poor effort. Cutler has nothing to do with this one. Why all the Broncos fans on this site? Are you missing him that much? Stick with Orton, most Bears fans want to see him do well. Bears will recover, have faith. One game in a long season. Let it go. That being said, did Lovie let Jim Zorn call the defense today?

WHO DEY BIT CHES!!!!!!
Hey no need for u to apologize for rude Bronco fans. Noone apologized for rude arrogant Bears fans when they were trolling our site bantering about the Bears being SuperBowl Champs this year and Broncos going 0-16. Its called karma. And no I am not the same fan demanding Mc D's head. Im a true fan, for the band wagon fans this wagons full. The Bears would suck with or without Cutler, I just care because it is Cutler. Sweet Sweet Revenge. Cutlers a bitch because he wanted out of Denver, Hed be 6-0 if he stayed. But noone wants him here now. Best trade ever. I wish the bears nothing but failure in the future. Go Broncos!!!!!!!!
You wonder if this was just a really bad game or the start of the downward spiral. You also have to wonder if the Bears don't have the players to win anymore, and now have a new QB who doesn't know how to win. Not really a good combination. The Bears leadership is still rated near the bottom in the League in 'smarts', or as Bill Walsh said 'the skills you need to win games by planning, organizing and leading'. They come up short on all three.
Before the Bears last Super Bowl, someone asked Walsh who would win. And, you guessed it, he said the Colts without a doubt. The only issue would be the final score. When asked why, he said the Bears coaching staff isn't that good, and had basically reached the SB due to players having career years, a lot of luck and a light schedule. He also said that when you coach you must always change your approach to the game and your players. Adjust and win, stay the same and in no time everyone will figure you out. Since the Bengals aren't exactly coached by the likes of the Patriots (see last weeks game vs. Texas), it's pretty clear to see why they won so big.
The Bears will 'tease' us fans all year and finish around 8-8. But they'll be a bad 8-8, just like the Redskins are a 'bad' 2-4 right now.
And, next year Smith and all of the coaches and players will be back for yet another year of the same.
All you bears fans were on the Broncos site telling us how bad we would suck..wow the worm has turned..Jay 10 + int...he could set a record for int's this year go Franchise QB..all of Denver is laughing at ya......
That's it. I'm done.
No more blind loyalty to yet another loser franchise. There is a stench rising from Halas Hall that reminds me of the men's room at Wrigley.
Nothing short of wholesale changes in coaching, front, office and perhaps even ownership will prevent the Bears from YEARS of games like today's.
The Blackhawks are the team to emulate. They changed the entire culture of the team, turned it around 180 degrees in TWO YEARS. And, love them or hate them, it took the Ozzie and KW THREE YEARS to win the World Series.
What do Jerry Manuel, Dusty Baker, and get-a-clue-Lou have in common? Lovie Smith. He looks like he's got smooth jazz playing in his headphones...every game.
Either fire Angelo, Lovie and his entire staff NOW, or sell the team. No wait, why sell? The loser Bears are sold out for the next 20 years, win or lose. Just like the Cubs.
Hawks fans voted with their wallets, Rocky was smart enough to see it and do something about it.
DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PATHETIC EXCUSE OF AN NFL TEAM!
This game was a perfect reflection of Lovie Smith; no drive, no brains, no stones. This garbage has been going on for two years since he blew the Super Bowl. Fire him already!!
5 turnovers attributable to Jay today.
The Chicago Bears will remain moribund as a franchise as long as Jay Cutler is the "leader" and that appears to be at least 3 additional seasons. My bet is they get rid of him before the non-guaranteed $$$$ is due him.
I fully expect Lovie Smith, Ron Turner, and the rest of the appalling and pathetic coaching staff to be fired. It is completely unacceptable to keep trotting a totally unprepared team on the field. The scheme is not/has not worked since 2006. The mistakes are constant and far too costly. The cover-2 is officially done in Chicago.
And as for the players, we need a completely revamped Offensive Line, Defensive Line, new set of Linebackers (minus Briggs), and complete gutting of the secondary. What a daunting task with no high draft picks. For this team to as much as even sniff the post-season next year, we need to bring in five Pro-Bowl caliber starters and draft five legitimate starters. The odds of that happening are slim to none.
No drafting. No coaching. No offensive line. No defensive line. Miserable secondary. And decimated line-backing core. I see us winning two more games the rest of the year (Browns and Lions).
GO BULLS and BLACKHAWKS....The Bears are done with this regime!
The good news about Cutler's contract extension is that he probably won't hold up his end of the bargain. He'll do one of his pouts and have his slimey agent Bus Cook concoct another "controversy" like he did in Denver.
One more year and Cutler will start his "trade me" whining routine.
But it'll all be good. The Bears will find a team that wants him and get bunches of draft picks in return. Then they'll be able to do what they should've in the first place - invest in defense and a O line and build a solid team.
Sorry for the rude Broncos fans. They are the same fans who b**ched and moaned when Orton came to town and called for McDs head prior to ever coaching a minute in the NFL. That said, Cutler will do well for you, but does need a lot of help. I do hope the Bears don't do well this season because you hold the keys to our next year's 1st pick...
Hey Iowa Boy - you were not the only one who saw the Bears helping Benson up. They are an extension of their clueless, hapless, fraudulent head coach. Doormats !!! Worst 3-3 team I've seen in years.
Man, some of y'all Bears fans fold up pretty easily.
It took the Bengals OT minutes to beat the Browns. It took the Bengals about 1 quarter to beat the Bears. Chew on that.
Good thing Lovie took over the Defensive play calling. Just think what could have happened if ... Wait a minute
it couldn't get much worse, oh well never mind.
Like I tell all of my Cardinals, Packers, Broncos, Spurs, Lakers, Caveliers and other successful pro sports franchise buddies -- it's a good thing there's a lot more to do in Chicago than go to or become a fan of its professional teams.
Sweet34-a, why the double postings? Not needed to drive home the fact you are a moron. And in case you forgot, this is America and we have freedom of speech. Anybody can post whatever they want here, no matter how stupid they are or the post is. Like you for example.
Just remember fans, the head coach is in charge of the defense.
Nuff' said.
Had Minnesota won today I would have said the Bears were toast, that all they had left was to to try for a winning season at best. But the Vikings lost and the Bears still have a chance because they play them twice...but I wouldn't hold my breath that they'll do anything.
They've got Cleveland next week...that's a win but this team still has serious issues...starting with the head coach and his inept staff of stooges.
Mark Liptak
Gotta love the bronco fans wanting to pin this one on Jay... Any QB will be throwing interceptions when your lousy defense puts you in a 31-0 hole in the first half... This game is all about defense and coaching... A complete emabassment! Not to mention this is the second game in a row that our coaches bit the big one. The defense is a complete mess that could not touch carson palmer once during the game... 0 SACKS! How can players be so consistantly wide open against our defense. This system does not work anymore and ther is no justifying keeping Lovie around any longer. He needs to be fired mid season so that the team can save some face and have Rod Marenelli be the interm for the remainder of the year. He cannot possibly be any worse than Lovie... If i do not see Lovie finally lose his temper during a post-game press conference i will probably put a hole through my TV... There is no recovering from this embarassment! Season is over. On a seperate note this is why losing games like last week to the falcons hurt so bad... we will have zero tie breakers with these fighting wild card teams... (Green Bay, Falcons, Arizona, Philly)
Bear Fans are owed an apology. A team is supposed to be prepared and show up. That was an embarrassment to the word "effort". No excuses, you played one of the worst games in the history of SPORTS>
Right on Tropical Fats, this team has no identity, no leadership at the head coach to the player level. Their philosophy of run first is a joke because they certainly haven't drafted that way. Cutler certainly is an improvement to Orton and he will win games that Orton never would. But you gotta build with the O-line, receivers and running backs. Angelo's lack of talent evaluation in choosing the right personnel in the right positions are killing this team. The future looks grim since our defense looks hopeless and Lovie's inability to change from cover 2 will keep this team mediocre. Losing high draft picks, signing free agents big bucks is a formula for failure. Look for 8-8, 9-7 for the next few years Beardom...why isn't our no 1 draft pick this year even playing?
Bear Fans are owed an apology. A team is supposed to be prepared and show up. That was an embarrassment to the word "effort". No excuses, you played one of the worst games in the history of SPORTS>
Cutler is the Bears last problem. They don't have a run game, they don't have a defense, they don't have an O-Line to protect Cutler, and they don't have coaches. Cutler is good.
Just went on godaddy to see if firelovie.com was registered. It was. In 2006. Hey, Derek from Berwyn, owner of said domain, how about making yourself rich by actually setting up a site and selling t-shirts. Put me down for three. Size L.
The ball is in your court. Riches beyond your wildest dreams are within your grasp.
I actually enjoyed this game, because now all the Lovie enablers will finally be laughed out of town. He. Was. Never. Good.
Now, it's quite obvious that not only are we a mediocre team with a horrible coaching staff, but the players know it too, and they've quit on their coach. After today, I can't blame them.
Horrible. Lovie needs to go. We got to the superbowl on defense. What do we do? Fire Ron Rivera, the defensive coordinator immediately after. He should have been the coach.
who says im a son! well i've had my fun enjoy cutler hahahah dont blame the o line that loser had the best o line last year have a great year sweet34-a GO BRONCOS!!!! GO ORTON!!!! THANKS FOR THE DRAFT PICKS :)
It;s so easy to see that the Bears are one of the easiest teams in the league to score against when you advance the ball to the 10 yard line or further. You saw it last week with less than 10 seconds to go in the 1st half, and how many times did you see it today? How many Bengals 3rd downs turned into Touchdowns inside the 10 yard line?
And the whole time you've got a clueless head coach starring up at the jumbo-tron with a confused, dumb look on his face.
This house needs to be cleaned from the top down. Period. I think Cutler can someday be a great QB, if he matures and gets some talent around him. Hopefully for the Bears. I think Hester could be an awesome #2 receiver opposite a true #1, instead of being forced to be something he is not. I hope its for the Bears. I think Johnny Knox could be a sweet #3/KR, I hope its for the Bears. I think Lance briggs is a stud, but he has got to feel like he did back at the UofA, when he was a man among men when management was destroying that program. Angelo has assembled the wrong pieces. Lovie plugs them into the wrong holes. And there is no sign that they have even the slightest clue how to assemble this mess into something beyond mediocrity at its best and brutal at its worst. I have never felt lower as a Bears fan. This is rock bottom for me.
sweet34-littlea, do you even read your posts before sending them? LOSER is your team at 3-3, WINNER is my team at 6-0, LOSER is Jay Cutler, WINNER is Kyle Orton (27-12 as a starter, 20 TD and 2 INTS in the red zone in his career)- LOSER is YOU, WINNER is me that can come in here and punk YOU and YOU can't do anything about it. HAHAHA
Garret Wolfe will be the next guy to be woefully misused, discarded and come back to burn us....
Cutler get some tampons with the extension? This guy's a B*tch. Defeatist body language...pouting and sulking even when the game's 0-0 which is wasn't for long.....and will he ever set his feet and throw? Another loser with a million dollar arm and 5 cent head.
Word up Oucho-Dinko....call us when you win a playoff game son.
SORRY/A WORD TO THE BEAR PLAYERS AND COACHING STAFF: That was one of the worst efforts and planned games in the HISTORY OF THE NFL. There is not a word to describe the EMBARRASSMENT. bronco fans s.m.d.
The playoff game the bears won,,,,,, it was in august in Denver........ IT WAS PRE-SEASON !!!!!
Go Cutless, love those interceptions,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Keep helpin the Denver you so hate Jay with a great 2010 draft choice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cringed when I heard the phenomenal sums guaranteed with Cutler's contract this past week. Perhaps those in control of pro sports will someday realize huge amounts of money is the biggest DIS-incentive to go out and perform well every week. Why bother risking permanent injury when you have beau-coup bucks deposited in your bank account after every game regardless of the outcome? I'd throw many interceptions also for fear of an opposing lineman tackling me and breaking my neck...
its not cutler you idiots its the coaching!!!! FIRE LOVIE SMITH!!!! HELLOOO HE SUCKS BUT THEY WONT FIRE HIM CAUSE HES BLACK!!! open your eyes angelo and quit makeing excuses for this crap its the coaching hello!!!!
I'd told you all, the Bears were wrong to trade Orton, though Benson was a no brainer. Now look at the mess they have.
Bronco Fan, get out of here. you do not belong. Just know you're a loser. You're a Bronco fan posting on our site. LOSER all the way, son.
Bronco Fan, get out of here. you do not belong. Just know you're a loser. You're a Bronco fan posting on our site. LOSER all the way, son.
The bears deserved everything that happened today. Until the team is sold and the coaching staff is fired, coupled with a significant investment in the coaching and scouting areas - of which we invest some of the lowest $$$ in the league in regards to the most integral piece of a team - this mess will never change.
The Bears defense and O-Line are sieves on both sides of the ball and people are blaming Cutler? People are saying "See how bad Cutler is?" Did you watch the friggin' game??? It's the O-Line, it's the D-Line, it's the coaching, it's the DB's, it's the RB. The QB has to play better but that's about No. 5 on the list, tops. Stop saying we traded "all our future picks" for him, it's only one pick from next year's draft and will still go down as a great trade by the time Cutler's contract is up for renegotiation, at least we have a guy to build around. But I'd like to see someone else do the building, this management group has had its chance and it's gone backwards since the SB year.
Hey Bear fans!!
Guess what? The bears players needs to look in the mirror and decide if they want to quit now and start playing the 2nd and 3rd stringers. I agree that Lovie needs to go but it's not all his fault. Players got to execute/block and talk on defense. We lost three players on defense however, every player should know their assignments. We can only blame ourselves because we are making Kyle look GREAT!!
I got one problems with todays game. Why would our players help Cedric Benson up and congraulate him on making yardage against us. Why would we pat him on the helmet for a good job, he's killing us on offense and we are helping this guy up off the ground. I realize that he's a former player but, make friends with him after the game. Am I the only one that saw this. Anyway, I think that this was a wake-up call and the bears can turn the season around....Go Bears
What kind of an excuse will Lovie make up today? I'm tired of hearing that they didn't make plays. The Bears got embarrassed today. Cutler is not the answer for us Chicago.
How completely pathetic the Bears look on both sides of the ball. No Wonder Josh McDaniels wanted Cutler gone. When you coach for perennial Superbowl Contenders like the Patriots, you know how to evaluate talent. Cutler's defiant posture is unacceptable when you get paid that kind of money to play like an amateur gunslinger. Utterly ridiculous BEARS.
Jerry Angelo's biggest mistake was Lovie Smith - he's built a lousy coaching staff who CANT DEVELOP talent. Thank god Cutler is somewhat developed, cause he's not going to get it from Pep Hamilton. What a pathetic joke. Lovie Smith is a fraud and has been since the day he arrived with his smoke and Mirrors approach. Get a real coaching staff in here and allow us to at least have a chance.
why should we stay off your web site all u losers did was invade ours sweet34-a i love it that jay was traded now all you bears fans get to go through what we did cutler blames everyone but himself
Believe me I'm not letting Lovie off the hook... Two years in a row they've been trounced in a game. But it's the GM that's the problem. You can't keep having drafts where all you end up is with,,at best, is adequate starters...
Look at the '05-'07 drafts (players that should be proven at this point)... Where are the impact guys? I guess you can say Orton helped get them Cutler; and Hester has an impact as a returner... But that's about it (I don't count Olsen or Mark Anderson as anything more than serviceable at this point). Look at how many of these guys never panned out at all...

A word to the Bronco Fans" STay off our web site. You want to pin this on Jay. Jay did not give up a TD on every 4th pass thrown. WOrd to the wise, keep off our site."
Whattya gonna do about it, come find and fit me with concrete shoes? Go choke on another brat loser, this is still a free country.
THEY STINK! Jerry and Lovie set us up for the melydown this year and probably at least next year too. Time to clean house!
With the great coaches available, after the season it's time to blow this thing up and fire Lovie and most of his assistants. First Orton looks like a star and now benson. How come they couldn't get anything out of these guys?
What really made me sick about this game was the love fest the defense had with Benson after every tackle. They help him up, say a few kind words and smile, even though they're getting creamed. The '84 defense didn't do this, Butkus wouldn't even think of it, after all this is football and the Bears were the "Monsters of the Midway".
Now they're the "Love children of Lakeshore drive" or the "Sissies of Solders Field". Make me sick!! I've seen more agressive behaviour at a baby shower!
1) Kyle Orton was not the problem last year, it was the receiving corps, O-line, and defense. So what problem does management address first and then break their arms patting themselves on the back about? Quarterback.
2) Angelo said the QB makes the receivers. Now Orton looks like an All-Pro and Cutler looks ordinary. How's that working out?
3) The Bears say they're a running, ball control, defense-oriented team. So they go out and get... a gunslinger-style QB. Do they even know what they're trying to do? Do they understand the philosophy they preach? Do they even know what the words mean?
I could go on, but my point is, this is failure by design. The players are not well-coached, the coaches are hired by management, and management is hired by the owners. As long as the McCaskeys own the team, any success they experience is going to be accidental and short-lived. It's pathetic.

Sorry Bears fans but those of us in Colorado who paid more attention to Cutler's red zone turnovers and sideline pouting fits than his yards between the 20s saw this coming. He throws REALLY hard, just too often to the other guys. And yes, by all means blame the defense for his problems, that's what most Bronco fans did the last couple years, too. Thanks for all your draft picks and the top ten QB but hey, keep hope alive. At least you only signed him for 2 more years.
The Lovie Smith's played un-inspired football. You are just now figuring this out? His boy Omilaye got beat so bad, I am not sure he even got a piece of a defender tonight. His defensive scheme is a joke, and the team is seldom prepared to play inspired football. They are an extension of their head coach. Their head coach is clueless and he's a doormat.

These Bears couldn't beat the Big Sandy Texas high school team.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH IM SURE GLAD "DA BEARS" TRADED ME FOR THAT LOSER CUTLER YEA I SAID IT!!!! BOY DID DENVER BEND "DA BEARS" OVER HAVE FUN WITH THAT LOSER LMFAO HAHAHAHAHA
SORRY/A WORD TO THE BEAR PLAYERS AND COACHING STAFF: That was one of the worst efforts and planned games in the HISTORY OF THE NFL. There is not a word to describe the EMBARRASSMENT
The Bears are getting killed at the line of scrimmage; they can't block and they can't pressure the quarterback. Cutler is fine - he's forcing some passes, but who wouldn't with this offense. The Bears don't have any experienced receivers - they may have the worst receivers in the NFL. Hester, Knox, and Olsen may prove to be decent, but they need more experience. Ron Turner needs to open up the playbook and be more creative. Orton is doing so well in Denver because he's surrounded by a much more talented cast of offensive players and he knows he doesn't have to score 30 points a game to win. Lovie Smith isn't going to take this team anywhere.
Benson is the perfect example why you DO NOT give out these huge contracts to these rookies. Make these guys earn it!!! This looks like a completely different RB and these kids out of college need to prove themselves. Too bad he's proving himself a little late in the game...At least from Chicago's perspective...
Hey, Im a bronco fan till I die, but dont be so hard on yourselves. You have a good quarterback, Hesters awesome and you'll get it togeter. It takes time, so this year may not be the year but u have a great foundation to build on. The season isnt over and you still have a shot at the Wild card. Your coaching staff does need to go tho, I agree.
Sorry to troll on your site, but had to after having to deal your Bears fans coming on to our site after the Cutler trade. Advice to Bears fans, DO NOT make excuses for Jay Cutler and fall into the "Its not Jay's fault" mentatlity that a lot of us Broncos fans got sucked into. Jay is now paid handsomely by your team to get as much credit AND blame for the Bears success and failures, it comes with the paycheck, but in the Bears case they have mortgaged money AND future picks which will make your rebuilding process that much harder. Make Jay accountable for his performance during losses, and put pressure on him to make his lesser talented teammates better (instead of pouting, getting frustrated with them, etc.) such as a certain HOF #7 in Denver had to do early in his career. Thanks for Orton, and I'm sure the Bengals are thanking you as well for Benson.
ABSOLUTLEY DISGRACEFUL PERORMANCE.
THE ENTIRE COACHING STAFF HAS GOT TO GO AND ABOUT 30 PLAYERS.
Comments: 1)Out coached, out played 2)don't blame Cutler, the offensive line is the worst in the NFL, they can't even snap the ball to Cutler 3) some teams after 6 weeks are getting better, the Bears are not 4) the next two home games are very winable (Cle. & Ariz.) 5) by week 10 fans will abandon the Bears the way they abandoned the Cubs with "Cubs suck go Bears cheers" in late Aug. 6) Cedric Benson to Bears, "thanks", Jay Cutler to Bronco's "I'll take a pay cut to come back".
Haaaaaaa Haaaaaa Haaaaaa Haaaaaaaaa The BUNGLES? NO! You will say BENGALS after your Beatdown! They beat your cubbies in every facet of the "game".45-10 Haaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaa Haaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Number Nine Stupidly said... "...keep booing the players Bear fans!!! The Bears will win again when the fans and city get back to having some class. Hope that still is possible."
Yeah. That's why the multi-million dollar salaried team of professional football players sucks-a$$, because the average joe ticket-holder boos.
You're a freakin' genius! Now if you'd just solve the health-care thing for us too... Dumba$$.
Now I know why the Bears keep Harris. One bad knee is better than none. With a sparse draft next year, free agency anyone?
SORRY/A WORD TO THE BEAR PLAYERS AND COACHING STAFF: That was one of the worst efforts and planned games in the HISTORY OF THE NFL. There is not a word to describe the EMBARRASSMENT.
Pathetic. Embarrassing. Bears have certainly taken the personality of their head coach....soft like vanilla! Face it Bearfans, the next few years look dismal. No 1st and 2nd round draft picks for next year including losing number 1 this year. (With our GM maybe its a blessing). Urlacher getting older and more prone to injuries. Tommie Harris is toast. Our cb's can't cover anyone. Cover 2 gets exploited every week and never seems to make any game adjustments. No pass rushers (what happened to our no. 1 pick in the draft this year?). Forte is our no. 1 running back. Hester is our no 1 receiver. Our O-line is dismal (Pace too old, Omiyale is plain horrible, Williams is soft, Kreutz is getting old). Our only decent players are on special team...ie Gould, Maynard, Knox...and most importantly of all-we have an incompetent, ill-prepared coaching staff that is outcoached every week! Oh yeah, and a GM whose loves to pick those diamonds in the rough aka Knox and pass on higher profile players from top programs! Yikes.
We need some new coaches. First, it was Grossman's fault, then Orton was the fall guy, and next they'll be blaming Cutler. Face it, we need some new coaches - it is not the players' fault!! Look at all the Bears players that leave and do great elsewhere - there are too many for it to be a coincidence! I am not going to watch the Bears anymore until we get some decent coaching in Chicago. Lovie and his gang of losers need to go!!!
This year is a level setting year. We have been down this road before. We release a QB and he has success then we boo our new one when he struggles. This is just a repeat of Harbaugh/Kramer.
This is one sorry team. The offensive line is...offensive, the defense seems to be lost against both the run and the pass and the coaching staff is a complete joke. Anyone who thought we could make the playoffs after trading for Cutler must have been high (I was NOT one of them). Looks like a 5-11 season and Denver will be laughing all the way to the draft.
I've been thinking for a while that the Bears always get out coached. I agree with those of you that say it's time for lovie to go
this is pathetic - lovie please resign please!!!!!
Good teams are built around good lines on defense and offense. The Bears need to "blow up" both lines and get some good linemen that can put pressure the opposing quarterback, protect their quarterback, and open up,holes for their running backs. It's as simple as that -- no rocket science, folks. Play calling and game preparation are also problems. Time to change coaches and go for Mike Shanahan, if he will come to Chicago.
After this game and this performance stop blaming the players... And don't just blame Lovie.. It's the organization. It's going to take new Ownership for the Bears to be back on top.. Stop beating up on Benson cause he just beat up on us.. I applaud his effort today. That the offensive line needed to be fixed way before Benson got drafted and they still need a true WR... The defense will get exposed every week from here on out.. I keep telling everyone playing undersized does not work and playing cover 2 does not work.. One more thing.. Maybe Mr. Haugh needs to report on what the real problem is with this State and their sports.. In stead of worrying about Marcus Jordan down in Florida..
here is the last dis-jointed thing i can say.....the bears are approaching parity with lovies old team.
SORRY/A WORD TO THE BEAR PLAYERS AND COACHING STAFF: That was one of the worst efforts and planned games in the HISTORY OF THE NFL. There is not a word to describe the EMBARRASSMENT.
i seriously wonder if the bears can beat the 49'ers. this team won't beat the lions the next time.
This season is OVAH!
How sad is it, Bear fans, that we are stuck with this incredibly incompetent, over paid head coach, through the 2012 season. Lovie is such a pathetic excuse of a head coach.
Toss in an incompetent GM, signed through 2013 as well, and we are looking at 4 to 5 years of mediocrity, at best. It is time to ignore this pathetic team and focus on the Blackhawks and Bulls.
where do i sign the run-them-out-of-town-on-a-flaming-rail petition for jerry, lovie and mike?
i am so glad the bears hitched so many draft picks to cutler. they won't need them to rebuild this cluster f**k!
anyone want rush to buy the bears?
Let me see if I have this right...
The Bears traded Kyle Orton, TWO No.1 draft choices, a No.3 draft choice and relinquished $14 mil in cap space for Jay Cutler and a No.5 and everyone aside from myself, Morrissey, Hub Arkush and Tony Dunge thought this was a good trade?
any team with a football coach by the name of LOVIE will never go all the way -
"What goes around comes around....?" Cedric was very average in Chicago, and all that drama was generated by Cedric. Not by the Bears and certainly not the fans. Bottom line...if you don't perform, then the organization and certainly the fans wont love you. His failure in Chicago was his wake-up call, and it looks like the lesson was learned. Now he is blaming the city that gave him a shot? Get it right Benson fan!!!!
Bears_fan_4_decades.....Don't blame Cutler for the suckiness of the offensive line and the defense. When the offense don't block and don't open up gaps for Forte there is a chance Cutler and Forte are not going to play a good gam. Blame Lovie Smith and Turner, and Angelo for not firing them.
See why we're not missing Cutler here in Denver? I'm afraid the Bears have mortgaged their future with this guy.
By the way, we have a couple of bridges in Brooklyn we'd like to sell.....
Lovie has got to go..... Our schemes (especially on defense) are brutal especially compared to the better teams in the league (and the Bengals are NOT one of them). Plus, the players are not at all playing motivated. Both of these things are the responsibility of the coaches. Fire Lovie and bring in Gruden to save the season.
Bears won't win another game.
The bears fans didn't lose this one, the players and coaches did!
Whoa. What a mess. The offense is demoralized because the defense stinks? And Denver is ....
What an abortion!!
Watch the presser closely to see if jay pulls the same punk-@zs cr@p he used to when he was a donkey in denver.
HOW MUCH DID WE PAY THIS CLOWN??
What goes round comes around.....keep booing the players Bear fans!!! The Bears will win again when the fans and city get back to having some class. Hope that still is possible.
